Prognostic Significance of the Criteria for Metastatic Involvement of Regional Lymph Nodes in Cervical Cancer According to Magnetic Resonance Imaging Findings

نویسندگان

چکیده

The objective of this study is to assess the criteria for metastatic involvement LN (MLN) according magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and identify most prognostically significant. MRI data 159 removed were compared with results a morphological resected preparations. ROC- analysis (Receiver Operating Characteristic curve) was used determine diagnostic performance threshold values. test evaluated depending on area under ROC curve — AUC parameter (Area Under Curve). In order evaluate prognostic significance predictors LN, uni-and multivariate regression logistic analyses performed. According analysis, configuration index less than or equal 1.65, absence signal from fatty tissue hilum perinodular edema are significant (p < 0.05).

review the appropriate approach for evaluation of metastatic cervical lymph nodes on cross-sectional neck imaging

the imaging assessment of nodal disease can be challenging for the radiologist because there are multiple sites to review and differing opinions about criteria for abnormal nodes. the ability to accurately detect nodal metastases is improved with knowledge of the criteria for abnormal nodes, the nodal drainage patterns, and common imaging pitfalls. in this article, we introduce these basic conc...

Prostate Cancer Metastatic to the Cervical Lymph Nodes

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men, often presenting with regional lymph node or bone metastasis and rarely with supradiaphragmatic lymph node involvement. Most metastatic cancers involving the cervical lymph nodes are from cancers of the upper aerodigestive tract. In this report, we describe two cases with cervical lymph node enlargement due to metastatic prostate cancer as the i...

Diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging for the detection of metastatic lymph nodes in patients with lung cancer: A meta-analysis

The aim of the present meta-analysis was to evaluate the diagnostic value of diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) in differentiating metastatic from non-metastatic lymph nodes in patients with lung cancer. A systematic literature search was performed to identify eligible original studies. The quality of included studies was assessed using 'quality assessment of diagnostic accuracy studies' (QUADAS-...
